Can a stone countertop be cut in place?
We do most of countertop modifying onsite in Victoria BC and Southern Vancouver Island, on already installed countertops. large pieces, or kitchens with seams can and do make it extremely difficult to do countertop modification outside.
Our clients can be very concerned with the dust and mess that will be created during this process. Because of this, we utilize multiple vacuums, drop cloths and power tools to contain and eliminate the dust that is unavoidable when cutting granite, quartz or marble countertops. Sometimes we are able to carefully remove smaller pieces to do the countertop modifying outside. This has the benefit of moving the mess and noise outside, but is definitely not required to get the job done. After the cuts are made, we will reinstall the countertops with the best and safest methods in the industry, and they will be covered by our warranty.
